DUAL ROBOT SYSTEM with ABB IRB 360 FlexPicker
QComp's dual robot system utilizes ABB IRB 360 FlexPicker, a state-of-the-art robot that produces higher payload with a smaller footprint. The robots shown above pick medicine droppers which are presented to the robots randomly placed on a infeed conveyor. The droppers are than orientated by the robot and placed into a cleated pocket which feeds a side loading carton machine. The robot system uses a vision system to determine the products orientation and it also provides a quality check to verify that the dropper is wrapped. The provided ABB Pickmaster control system balances the work load of the two robots and ensures that each medicine receives a dropper.
Dual Robot System
QComp's dual robot system to the right shows one robot loading cartons into a case packing staging device. The second robot picked an empty case aligned it with the case packing device which pushed the cartons into the side positioned case. The robot than moved the case maintaining the orientation of the top and bottom of the case in the horizontal plain. The case is then passed through a top and bottom sealer. The case is weighed, bar code printed, verification of the printed code is performed and then the case is palletized.
