Increased palletizing speeds can be achieved by picking up full layers of the product. In this two-robot solution, the first robot configures the layer on a transfer table and the second robot picks up the full layer and places it onto the pallet. The ABB IRB 260 four-axis robot is used to align full layers of product onto a transfer table.
• Layer forming is done with an ABB IRB 260 four axis robot onto a transfer table.
• The ABB IRB 660 four axis robot is used with a vacuum gripper to pick up and palletize full layers of product.
• The vacuum gripper can also place slipsheets between layers on the pallet load.
• Speeds of 60 cases per minute are possible with the full layer palletizing solution.
• PickMaster 5 software makes it easy to program the robot for all the palletizing tasks.
• The system can be equipped with a laser guided vehicle to bring empty pallets to the station and take away full pallets. |
