Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV's) are used to transport L racks or A frame racks of glass and provide the following advantages:

• Racks can be shuttled in and out of the robot cell eliminating the need for large turntables.

• The AGV can reposition racks during loading/unloading eliminating robot reach problems.

• Full racks can be transported to a stretchwrapper and then to storage/warehouse.

• The AGV is a safe method of transporting racks.

• The AGV is an economical way of handling full or empty racks.

• The AGV can act as a virtual turntable in the robot cell.

• System is wireless so there are no wires embedded in the floor.

• System can be expanded from 1 to 50 vehicles.
