Automated Guided Vehicles - AGVs
FOR HANDLING A-FRAMES

Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV's) are used to transport L racks or A Frame racks of glass and provide the following advantages:

Racks can be shuttled in and out of the robot cell eliminating the need for large turntables. The AGV can reposition racks during loading/unloading eliminating robot reach problems. Full racks can be transported to a stretchwrapper. Transport of a stretchwrapped rack to storage/warehouse.

The AGV is a safe method of transporting racks.

The AGV is an economical way of handling full or empty racks.

The AGV can act as a virtual turntable in the robot cell.

System is wireless so there are no wires embedded in the floor.

System can be expanded from 1 to 50 robots.
