Back in 1991, Thomas Doyle, started QComp (which stands for Quality Components) in West Appleton, in an Office Park known as Park Place. At the time they started with Circuit Boards (which were used in Pinball Machines), and led to the “Black Box” which was used in resurfacing paper machine rolls. Which then led to doing Drive Systems for GFG (controlling different functions with Rolls and Automation). In the early 90’s, they moved into a building in the Greenville Industrial Park.

1991

1997

In 1997 Qcomp had a new building built and Spiralflex was added to the mix. This was a Coil Forming Machine and Coil insertion Machine, to put Plastic “Spirals” on books, notebooks, etc.

In 1998, QComp got their first Robot Job(s). They were for a Large Electrical Firm, a Major Flat Glass Manufacturer, and a WI Brat Manufacturer.

Also, in 1998 Area #2 was added to the building, roughly doubling its size.

1998

2004

In 2004 through 2010, outside of the new Robot Jobs, they started dabbling in AGV’s (Automated Guided Vehicles), in the form of Automated Forklifts.
Joined OwnersEdge.Since QComp started doing Robots, we now are integrators for ABB, Fanuc, and very recently Staubli Robots..

2018

Today

At the moment, QComp is the only US Integrator for Staubli, which has FDA Approved Robots. We’ve done Cells for Large Sandpaper/Tape Company, a Major Glass Manufacturer, a Wet Wipe Manufacturer, and recently a large Plastics Corp.
